Summer is the time of year when the temperatures heat up and the drinks get colder! And fruitier! And more colourful! At least in our world. We love experimenting with new drink recipes and gin is one of our Spring and Summer mixology staples. In light of our upcoming pop-up shop at Bohemian Spirits in Kimberley this weekend, we busted out their Colossal Gin and got to tasting, I mean... work. And yep, the gin is pink! The dreamy hue comes from the local huckleberries that get added to the mix. Amazing right!?
We tried our hand at a Gin version of a Moscow Mule featuring strawberries and basil. Juicy strawberries are a perfect choice this time of year. This cocktail is refreshing and bursting with summer notes from the huckleberry Gin to the hint of lime and a kick of ginger beer. Check out this Bear'n Beaver Ginger Beer we found at our local grocery store, made in White Rock, BC.
